Hungarian Parliament building

Despite its state affiliation, this building amazes more than one generation of tourists with its luxury and beauty. It is rightfully considered the most majestic in all of Budapest and is the most popular “feature” of the city.

The architecture of this building contains elements of British neo-Gothic and French beaux-arts. The Hungarian Parliament building is often compared to London’s Palace of Westminster, which further attracts tourists from all over the world.

Experienced travelers advise admiring the unique structure at night. It is then that the city plunges into the abyss of fairy lights, which you can admire on the embankment with a cup of aromatic tea.

Fisherman’s Bastion

The second most beautiful and popular building in Budapest is the Fisherman’s Bastion. It was majestically located in Buda on the Fortress Hill and protected the capital from external enemies. Today, only the name speaks of its military past, and the fortress itself amazes with its beauty and picturesqueness. Tall towers, long staircases, romantic terraces attract tourists here.

The bastion also offers amazing views of the capital of Hungary. You are guaranteed wonderful photos in this place.

Heroes Square

This place is for Budapest what Independence Square is for Kyiv. Locals like to meet there, and all the tourist buses stop there. The square literally breathes solemnity and majesty.

On its territory there are many interesting monuments, as well as two full-fledged museums. Go left and you will get to the Museum of Fine Arts, and right – to the Art Museum.

Once there, you can turn into the Városliget city park to sit comfortably on the grass and have a snack. Your eyes will be delighted by the artificially created lake. Beauty, in a word.

Andrássy Avenue

Budapest is often compared to Paris, and it should be noted quite rightly, because Gustave Eiffel himself had a hand in the local architecture. But it is not only the buildings of the great engineer that give the Hungarian capital its French charm. There are other luxury properties there too. For example, the main artery of the city, Andrássy Avenue, is compared to the Champs Elysees.

Built at the end of the 19th century, this street today attracts exclusively the elite of Hungarian society. Real estate there costs incredible amounts of money. But looking at it is not prohibited, and the architecture there is simply amazing in its beauty.

A simple walk along the avenue will give you a lot of positive emotions. Don’t miss the opportunity to relax in one of the local restaurants with a fragrant cup of coffee.

Chain Bridge

Another place you should definitely visit while in Budapest is the Chain Bridge. The incredibly beautiful building symbolizes the unification of once different parts – Buda and Pest. It is often placed on tourist brochures, attracting foreign travelers.

And although in Kyiv there is a worthy competitor to it – the Nikolaevsky Chain Bridge, the Hungarian miracle is still worth admiring.

Royal Palace

Built in Baroque style, the Royal Palace in Budapest was a haven for Hungarian rulers for 700 years. Each of them contributed to the architecture of the building, but undoubtedly the best option has survived to this day.

Today there are interesting institutions there – the Hungarian National Gallery, the National Széchenyi Library and the Budapest History Museum. Each of them has something to see, so leave more time for a tour of this amazing place.
