An inflated telephone or electricity bill, lost luggage at the airport, a damaged or undelivered postal item, a subscription that has not been cancelled despite our request – consumers often have reasons to complain, but they do not always know how to formulate them.

In the face of large companies and institutions, customers often feel powerless. However, it is worth fighting for your rights, and a well-formulated complaint can be very helpful in this regard. On the ConsuWijzer website, we can find dozens of (free!) templates for consumer complaint letters: www.consuwawijzer.nl

They are divided into several categories, including: electricity and gas, warranty, repair and refund, online shopping, post, prices and costs, travel and accommodation, telephone, internet and television, telephone sales, etc.

Dutch language templates are available on the individual subpages and are also available there in .txt and .odt formats. Of course, before sending them, they must be completed appropriately, providing the appropriate contact details and additional information about the specific situation.

The website www.consuwaijzer.nl was created by the Office for Consumer and Market Affairs ACM. This office checks whether companies comply with the rules and regulations concerning, among other things, consumer rights. On the website, in addition to complaint templates, we will find answers to many questions that consumers ask themselves when they are dissatisfied with the goods or services they have paid for.
