Resorts of the Antalya coast of Turkey
When we think about a vacation in Turkey, most likely many will think about the Antalya coast. It is here that hotels are more reminiscent of small towns with a huge territory, water parks, discos and children’s mini-clubs. But even here, each resort has its own characteristics.
Antalya
Antalya is a great choice if you want not only to lie on the beach, but to get acquainted with the culture of Turkey, go shopping and just have an active time. There are many budget city hotels, a large selection of excursions and a lively nightlife, and with children it is never boring here. For fans of beach hotels and the All Inclusive system, it is worth considering the suburban area of Lara, where hotels with their own beaches are located. Antalya is also loved by families with children, as it is the closest to get here from the airport. The only disadvantage of Antalya is that the cost of beach hotels here is an order of magnitude higher than in other resorts on the Antalya coast.
Sid
Side is an ideal resort for a quiet, relaxing holiday and sightseeing. This city appeared on the map in the 7th century BC. and was a prosperous city first in the Lycian Empire, and later in the Roman Empire, so there really is something to see here – the Old City with buildings of the III century, the temple of Apollo, the aqueduct, and the amphitheater in Aspendos. At the same time, there is a very large selection of hotels from budget to luxury hotels. And the beaches are sandy with a gentle entrance to the sea, which is ideal for families with children. In addition, such a shallow sea warms up quickly, the season here begins in April and lasts until November.

If you want a truly high-quality holiday from Turkey and are not limited in budget, then choose Belek. It is here that the most elite hotels on the coast are located; there are simply no 3-star hotels here. The resort is guarded by a special organization that provided security at the G20 Summit. Well, that’s not all. Belek is primarily famous for its professional golf courses, where big businessmen, celebrities and athletes come to play. And the beaches of Belek are wide, with fine soft sand.
Belt
Kemer is considered an excellent budget resort with a wide variety of hotels for every taste. And its special difference is in the pebble beaches and mountains. The views here are truly amazing. And the smell of pine needles fills the air with incredible aromas. Many of our tourists compare Kemer with the Crimea.
Kemer is also an ideal choice for young people. It is here that the best clubs and bars of the coast are located, and there is more than enough entertainment for young people here. For holidays with children and respectable tourists, Terikov and Beldibi, neighboring Kemer, are more suitable, where they are not so noisy and there are spacious, green hotels.
Alanya
If you want to save on vacation, without losing quality, choose Alanya. The only significant disadvantage of Alanya is that it takes the longest time to get here from the airport. Nevertheless, the infrastructure of Alanya is simply wonderful: there is enough entertainment for both children and adults, excellent hotels with extensive infrastructure, including water parks and a large concentration of attractions. If we talk about the beaches, then it is here that the delightful sandy beach of Cleopatra is located, which, according to legend, Mark Antony gave to his beloved.
Resorts of the Aegean coast of Turkey
Many tourists get to the Aegean coast of Turkey, they say that it is more like Greece. Indeed, there is some truth in this. Aegean resorts are more respectable, focused on European tourists. There are few hotels with large areas and many of them offer not the famous All inclusive, but the usual “breakfasts”. Nevertheless, the climate here is much milder, there is no intense heat in summer, but the sea does not warm up as quickly as in Antalya, so these resorts should only be considered from June to September.
Bodrum
Oddly enough, but this is the most expensive resort in Turkey. It is here that celebrities and millionaires come to rest. In summer, life here is in full swing and resembles the French Saint-Tropez. Here is one of the most famous nightclubs in Turkey – Halicarnassus. If you are considering Bodrum for families with children, then it is better to choose the neighboring resorts of Torba and Bitez. It is not so noisy at night, there are more comfortable hotels, and the prices are slightly lower than in Bodrum itself. And for young people, Bodrum will be just the perfect option!
Marmaris
Marmaris is an excellent value for money infrastructure. There are a lot of pretty good hotels that work on the All Inclusive, while in the city itself you will always find something to do. There is the famous “Street of Bars” here, which is open all night, until the morning and offers entertainment for every taste. Separately, it must be said about the climate of Marmaris. It is here that the Mediterranean Sea merges with the Aegean, so the water warms up earlier than in other resorts on the Aegean coast, but there is no intense heat that is inherent in Antalya resorts. Well, the nature itself is fantastic here – a lot of greenery, flowers and fragrant citrus orchards.
Fethiye
Despite the fact that Fethiye is located on the Mediterranean Sea, it is mainly referred to as the Aegean resorts. The point is the resort itself, which is located just in the middle between Antalya and Bodrum. Due to such an inconvenient location, rare tourists get here on vacation. But this is the plus of this resort – if you want to get lost in the Gardens of Eden, then Fethiye is exactly what you need! There is no entertainment in Fethiye, but there are several ancient sights, as well as picturesque bays. One of these bays is Oludeniz. White sand, emerald water and a large green forest. A particularly beautiful panorama opens up on Oludeniz from the top of the mountain, which makes it especially attractive for paragliding. Believe me, this is truly a piece of paradise!
Kusadasi
If you want to see ancient sights, then welcome to Kusadasi. It is this city that cruise ships include in their program and, believe me, for good reason. It is near Kusadasi that one of the best preserved ancient cities, Ephesus, is located. It’s worth seeing it at least once in your life. For a holiday in Kusadasi, there are quite good, but also small hotels, so All Inclusive lovers are unlikely to be comfortable here, but for those who want to get to know traditional Turkey, they will certainly like it here.
