Bagrati Cathedral and Monastery
The unique cathedral was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994. The majestic structure was named in honor of Bagrat III Bagrationi, the first king of Georgia. Construction continued from the 10th to the 11th century. During the Turkish War at the end of the 17th century, the walls were partially destroyed. The monastery of the same name is well preserved; there are unique mosaics and wall paintings from the 12th to 17th centuries. You can see the attraction in the center of Kutaisi.
Gelati Monastery
The symbol of the Georgian Golden Age was built under King David Agmashenebeli, the temple became the tomb of the ruler. For several centuries, an academy was located in the church at the monastery, which became the religious and cultural center of the country for that time. The monastery housed a collection of ancient icons and church relics. At the beginning of the 20th century, with the advent of Soviet power, many of them were lost, and the surviving part was distributed to museums.
Historical monuments of Mtskheta
The small city was previously the capital of Georgia; in the Middle Ages, it was the religious center of the Caucasus. 20 km from Tbilisi, at the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi rivers, there are unique structures. The Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and the Jvari Monastery were built in the mountain valley – the main surviving monuments of medieval architecture in Georgia. The majestic buildings were built at the end of the 6th century on a hill on the shore of the lake, and church services are still held here today. Included in the UNESCO list in 1994.
Upper Svaneti
The unique mountain landscape has become one of the calling cards of Georgia. Snow-capped mountains, green valleys and picturesque villages with tower houses. Previously, the towers were used as residential buildings, and during the war residents hid here from the invaders. You can get to the area from the city of Mestia by traveling about 50 km in jeeps through the mountains.

Milk waterfall in Abkhazia
The mountain river originates in glaciers and on its way to the valley is filled with water from underground springs. When water falls from a height, it foams and creates the impression that milk is flowing from the mountain. Archvebistba – triangular mountain lake
The high mountain lake has an unusual triangular shape. Scientists are investigating the origins of the reservoir, created during the movement of tectonic plates during a volcanic eruption. The freshwater lake is located in the Kelsky volcanic plateau, a zone of extinct volcanoes in South Ossetia.
Okatse Canyon
Okatse Canyon has had the status of a National Park since 2011. The natural landmark is located in the Khonii region in western Georgia, 50 km from Kutaisi. Tourists come here to walk along the mountain footpath above the deep gorge and take selfies at the observation deck. You can get to the canyon on foot or by car, traveling about 3 km.
Prometheus Cave
One of the most beautiful sights of Georgia is located near the city of Tskaltubo in the Imereti region. The karst cave was discovered in 1983 by speleologists from the Institute of Geography. The name comes from a popular ancient Greek myth, according to which Prometheus was chained deep in the Caucasus Mountains for teaching people how to make fire.
Sulfur baths Tbilisi
A popular landmark of the capital of Georgia is located on Abanotubani Street. The unique structures themselves are interesting to explore. The water here comes from underground from warm sulfur springs. Semi-basement structures with round roofs are almost not illuminated by the sun. Many famous people have been here; the baths are open from 7:00 to 21:00.

The idea of the glass and steel structure belongs to the Italian architect Michele de Lucchi, and symbolizes Georgia’s path from the past to a bright future.
Amusement Park Mtatsminda
The amusement park is located on the top of the mountain of the same name, from where there is a magnificent view of Tbilisi. There are roller coasters, a racing track, an extreme jumping tower, and for the little ones – train rides. A separate adventure will be the ascent and descent from the park by funicular – another Tbilisi attraction.
Botanical Garden Batumi
Hundreds of species of trees, bushes and herbs from all over the world are collected on an area of more than 100 hectares. There are seating areas, amenities and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Pillar of Katskhi
A popular attraction is located on the road from Tbilisi to Kutaisi. A tall, more than 40 meters, limestone pillar, on top of which stands a small church built in the 6th century. You can climb up the steep stairs. For a long time, pagan cults to the fertility deity were held at this place – the place is energetically very strong. The modern church was built on the site of the old destroyed one, and at the foot of the pillar there is a small monastery with a museum.
Tbilisi Ethnographic Museum
