Urban transport in Spain
Buses
- In Madrid and Barcelona, it is most convenient to buy a ticket for 10 trips for 8€
- Tourist buses cost €30 for two days and travel on popular sightseeing routes
- Intercity buses cercanias run from 6:00 to 24:00 with an interval of 10-15 minutes. Travel price from 10 to 60 €, depending on distance
- You can buy a ticket and find out route schedules at newsstands, bus stops, hotels, travel agencies and drivers
Underground
- There is underground transport in all big cities. Single trip costs 1.3€, day ticket 8€
- The ticket is a cardboard card that must be inserted into the slot on the turnstile panel, then go through and pick it up from the back. A note will appear on the ticket indicating that the trip has been paid for.
Taxis
- You can rent a car in the parking lot or by stopping an empty car on the street
